Recommendation: One Ride (The Hellions Ride, #1) should be read prior to Sass and Tank's story. Their story picks up directly where the first book left off and contains additional details necessary to truly enjoy this book.With Forever Ride, Chelsea Camaron continues with the tradition of delivering a character driven story in an MC setting. This romance is focused on the development of Savannah (aka Sass) and Tank's characters. As Sass tries to settle into a life outside of the club and Tank comes back from a severe injury, a result from the Hellions' ordeal with Felix Delatorre.
Months go by and Sass settles in with a preppy, pretty boy because he delivers the stable, safe and secure life she thinks is what she wants. Having seen the dangers of club life, she wants that all as far away from her as possible. But like most of us, she learned that the grass isn't always greener on the other side. Little by little she abandons that life for something new and has to come to terms with how different it is from what she's so used to.

This book was different in the from the first book in this series it had a lot of personal struggle that Sass what not going to back down.After Sass is not in danger and can come back home she finds out that not everyone and everything is how she left it ppl died to keep her safe and to a point she's not ready to accept that this is a normal way of living for a princess in the Hellions Mc so she runs to what may look as the best and safes opinion but things are not always greener on the other side.Tanks is in living hell not quite gone and yet not quiet living and that's a position he never imagined to be in but he's there for reasons he lives for,to protect the ppl he loves and his club during that time he reflects on what his life is really about and the ppl in it and it's his blessings in disguise to be in the hospital.alot of challenges but there only put in the way for the better
Tank is still in a coma. He can hear Sassy talking to him but he can't come out of the coma and it frustrates him. He and Sassy have always been friends, although Sassy felt more for him but her dad intervenes and Tank backs off. Someone is with him all the time so he doesn't wake up alone. Sassy thinks it's better to stay away from the club and keeps her relationship with Nick, he's not with the club, but a businessman and they share an apartment with each other. But things never stay the same.
So if you've read the first book in this series One Ride than you'll know that Tank was injured when the Hellions went in to get rid of the threat to Doll. You'll also know that if you read my review yesterday that I read this series backwards. But in this book Forever Ride we follow Tank and Sass' story and find out what happened with Tank.
Now I wasn't sure what to expect when I first went into this story. What I wasn't expecting was Tank spending the first half of this book in a coma. So the first half of it is mostly Sass and some of the other characters. And we do get to see some of what Tank is thinking while in his coma.
I liked Savannah 'Sass' Perchton. I liked her a little bit more than Doll. But like Doll, Sass also grew up in the biker life and knows how everything is. She's also seen things between her mother and father and has finally decided that the biker life isn't for her anymore. Sass is a bit hard headed in this book, and determined to be independent. My heart even broke a little bit for her when she kept pushing her family away.
Frank the 'Tank' Oleander hasn't had the easiest life growing up. And we get to find out a little bit of his background while he is in his coma. But he has finally found his family in the form of the Hellions and the brothers.
You could definitely feel the attraction between Sass and Tank in the first book. You could tell that they really cared about each other. I almost felt bad that for the first half of this book that Tank spent it in a coma. But I think that even though he did that it worked very well for the story line of this book.
I'm giving this book 4 Stars out of 5!!!!
While I understand many people in abusive relationships have their reasons for not leaving their partners, I cannot fathom the thought of staying with someone who would even think to hurt me. So it is with absolute regret that I was not able to finish this book in the conventional sense. In fact, I found myself skimming to the end. The actions of the female lead were aggravating and a bit demeaning. The fact that she allowed her boyfriend to make decisions on her behalf and even at the finish was justifying his obviously abusive actions by saying he didn't mean to was very distracting and completely deterred from Tank, his recovery, and their love story. I would have loved a different take, something that would keep Sass' obvious fire while still playing the whole possessive boyfriend angle. I wanted her to be a fighter. Alas, that was not the case.
Forever Ride is the story of Sass & Tank & boy was it a good one. Loved hearing Tank’s POV while he was in a coma. Book one (One Ride) left me sad in a way because of Tank and what had happened to him. I couldn’t wait to find out if he was going to be ok or not. I felt for Sass because she decided she didn’t want anything to do with the Hellion’s, which were her family. She felt it was too dangerous & didn’t want that life, so she pushed them away. She had met someone who cherished her, loved her & would give her anything she would ever need. That’s the life she thought she wanted. A safe life. Well looks can be deceiving. Lets just say I wanted to jump through my book many times to strangle the man she thought was perfect for her. The man she thought was safe. If you’re dying to know what happened to Tank & Sass, check out Forever Ride. It will take you on a journey through everything they’ve been through.
